Meet Cynthia Granville
Cynthia is a multiple award-winning actress and director born in Brooklyn, raised in Tennessee, now living in Jersey but always a city girl at heart.
Cynthia is drawn to work that tries to leave its audience seeing the world slightly differently than when they came, in hopes of making the world a better place. When not in front of an audience or on set, she is helping medical students develop their bedside manner and teaching physical exam techniques–she can give you a full physical exam but can’t treat anything that’s wrong with you!--as well as working with sexual assault nurse examiner trainees to practice everything from evidence collection and chain of custody to supportive communication, flipping the traditional narrative that the emergency room exam of a survivor is a second assault to making it the beginning of the healing process.
Cynthia moved back to NYC to study with Herbert Berghof at HB Studio and now studies there with Austin Pendleton. She is known as the nudist roommate on High Maintenance, as well as the Onion’s daycare-outsourcing mom and Damaged Women’s Spokeswoman. She also loves modo yoga and playing with Suzanne and Dahlia, her rescue tuxedo cat and dog.
